You might have been heard that updating an android from one to other software is possible. Yes, it is true. But a custom rom for galaxy ace duos is not available until now. But it is available now. It is called "A Droid rom" you can too install it on your device. note: before upgrading the custom rom you must have
1) Connect and mount your Galaxy Ace Duos USB memory on your computer using the USB cable.
2) Now copy/paste the downloaded file "A-DROID ROM 2.0" and "cwm 6802" to your SD card. Make sure the file is in the SD card root (not in any folder).
3)Then turn OFF your phone and disconnect from the USB cable.
4)Now get in to the recovery Mode by using the combination of Volume Up + home button + power buttons until you see a samsung logo and then you will come into recovery mode and then go to "apply update from sd card" and go to the file"cwm 6802" and select it and you will be in clockwork recovery mode
5)Once you are in ClockworkMod Recovery, select perform a full data wipe by selecting "wipe
data/factory reset" by using volume keys and home button
6)Then, perform a cache wipe by selecting "wipe cache partition"
7)Now this is optional, but it is recommended to perform a wipe of your dalvik cache as well. You will not get into boot loops or any other errors. From CWM recovery, go to 'advanced' and then select "wipe dalvik cache".
8)Then go back to the main recovery screen and select "install zip from SD card".
9)Now select "choose zip from sdcard". Using your volume keys, navigate to theA-Droid V 2.0 Custom Rom zip file that you copied to your SD card and select it using the Power button. Confirm the installation on the next screen and the installation procedure should start now.
10)After the installation completes, go to "+++++Go Back+++++" and reboot the phone by selecting "reboot system now"
Your phone will boot now and it might take about 5 minutes to boot on your first time. So, please wait.
That's it! Your phone should now have A-Droid V 2.0 custom ROM installed on your phone.Go to Settings > About phone to verify.

- USB debugging mode enabled (home>settings>applications>development>usb debugging mode)
